Check what the exact CX-5 already has
Mazda UAE’s current grade page does not show identical hardware on every CX-5. It lists a rear camera for GL and Trend Plus, BSM and Rear Cross Traffic Alert on Trend Plus and Sports Plus, and a 360-degree camera only on Sports Plus. Equipment can also differ by model year. Use the current Mazda UAE grade specification as a starting point, not proof for an older car; confirm the VIN and vehicle menus.

Choose the least invasive option that solves the problem
- Driving position and mirrors: set the seat for full pedal control, then adjust both mirrors. This costs nothing and must be checked first.
- Small convex mirror: a reversible trial can widen the view, but it changes scale and distance perception. Position it so it adds a zone rather than covering the useful main mirror image.
- Repair or enable factory BSM: if the grade should have BSM, diagnose sensors, warnings and settings before installing a parallel camera.
- Indicator-triggered side camera: useful only when the lens, trigger, display and delay work reliably on this head unit. Require a temporary powered test before permanent mounting.
- Multi-camera or replacement head unit: the widest change and highest integration risk. Confirm steering controls, factory camera, parking sensors, audio, microphone and software functions in writing.
Warranty boundary in the UAE
Mazda UAE’s public warranty page lists alteration, modification, tampering, repairs by a non-authorized party and accessories that do not conform to Mazda specification among exclusions. It does not let Autosupp decide from a distance that every third-party camera cancels the entire warranty. Ask Mazda/Galadari to state in writing how the proposed connection and affected components would be treated for this VIN.
